Printing industry and educations professionals will obtain workplace competencies for the Graphic Communications industry
Tuxedo Park, N.Y., August 25, 2014 — Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation (GAERF®) and Intellective Solutions are proud to announce the availability of Graphic Communications Skills Competencies (GCSC). The competencies provide the skills, knowledge, abilities and behavior necessary to be successful in six industry areas.
These areas include:
- Digital File Preparation and Output
- Digital Production Printing
- Graphic Design
- Introduction to Graphic Communications
- Offset Printing/Bindery
- Screen Printing
These competencies were developed to help printing industry education and training organizations create curriculum that reflect the current needs of the Graphic Communications market. During GRAPH EXPO 14, to be held in Chicago from September 28 to October 1, 2014, industry professionals are encouraged to visit Education Main Street, Booth 4942, to view and gain access to the competencies. The competencies are free to all printing industry stakeholders.
